Am I the A-hole for needing my friends to sometimes help me with chores?

My roommates and I have been living together for about a year. We've made a decent agreement where we each take turns doing the dishes, but lately, it feels like I'm always the one putting in the work. Last week, my friend totally forgot to do their share. I got really annoyed because they just acted like it wasn't a big deal. I told them that it was inconsiderate, and they got defensive. Now, they're saying I'm being a jerk. Am I really the asshole here?

Should I find new roommates?
